The following measures should be taken into account when improving the strength of rotomolded products.
(1) In terms of raw materials and additives, raw materials with good toughness and impact resistance are selected, and raw materials with low density or low melt flow rate are generally better in toughness than those with high density or high melt flow rate; Try to use special materials for rotational molding; Increase the dosage of raw materials; Raw materials should be kept dry and not expired; It is necessary to know whether the pigments or additives used are suitable for the rotational molding process and can withstand the long-term high temperature of rotational molding without decomposition. They should not be used blindly, and should be added in an appropriate amount, not too much.
(2) In the molding process, the heating temperature and time should be properly adjusted, so as not to under-burn or over-burn, so as to prevent the strength of products from being greatly reduced due to decomposition and oxidation of raw materials or insufficient melting; It is necessary to keep the ventilation holes open, balance the pressure inside and outside the mold, avoid the situation of needle holes and air holes in the products, and improve the compactness of the rotational plastic products; Maintain a proper rotational speed ratio to make the wall thickness of the molded product uniform; Properly increase the cooling intensity and cooling rate.
(3)In the design of rotational plastic products, the structure should be designed reasonably to avoid the acute angle and plane of stress concentration, and increase the arc transition angle between the corner and the groove; Increasing the wall thickness of the product; Increase the design and strengthening structure in the place where the product is under greater stress. In a word, the strength of rotomolded products will be in the best condition as long as the structure is reasonable, the raw materials are used properly, the wall thickness is uniform, there is no bubble, there is no oxidative degradation, and the cooling method is appropriate.
